UTC Extra

3:30pm – 5:00pm

The UTC offers a wide range of exciting after-school clubs, sporting teams, and subject-specific intervention sessions. These opportunities support both personal development and targeted academic progress.

Enrichment, Sports Teams & Compulsory Catch-Up

Enrichment provides students with the opportunity to engage in activities they enjoy or challenge themselves by trying something new.

  • All students in Years 7 and 8 are expected to attend at least one enrichment activity per week; optional for Year 9.
  • Once clubs are assigned, attendance is compulsory and absences must be reported.
  • Enrichment runs on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:30pm–5:00pm.
  • Sporting fixtures can take place Monday to Friday at external venues.
  • Enrichment does not run during the final week of term or the first week after a break.
  • Students sign up during Personal Tutor time.
  • Parents are informed of club placements by letter and direct email.
  • If a club is cancelled, parents are notified via text message.

Subject Intervention Sessions

Subject intervention sessions provide additional academic support for assessments and identified learning needs.

  • Sessions run Monday to Thursday from 3:30pm–5:00pm.
  • Interventions do not usually run during the last week of term or the first week back.
  • Attendance is compulsory and monitored.
  • If an intervention is cancelled, parents are informed via text message.
